BMW is honoring Valentino Rossi’s 46th birthday with a special edition M4. With only 92 units available worldwide, including limited availability in the United States, this is the most expensive M4 ever.
It pays tribute to Rossi’s career in MotoGP and sports car racing, making it a sought-after collector’s item for automotive and motorsport enthusiasts. The blog covers the BMW Launches Most Expensive M4 Ever, detailing its exclusive design, performance, limited availability, and special experiences for owners.
The interior features a blend of luxury and racing inspiration. Rossi’s VR46 logo appears on the door sills, dashboard, and headrests. Black and Night Blue Merino leather seats are combined with Sao Paulo Yellow Alcantara bolsters.
The steering wheel replaces the standard red contrast stitching with yellow, adding to the exclusive feel. Every detail is carefully designed to reflect Rossi’s influence.
This special edition stands apart with its exclusive colors and Rossi-inspired graphics. Both feature Rossi’s signature number 46 on the doors and roof, finished in contrasting yellow or blue. It comes in two versions: the Style variant in Frozen Tanzanite Blue and the Sport variant in Marina Bay Blue (know more about the 2025 BMW x7 model here).
Additional yellow details can be seen on the kidney grille, brake calipers, and wheels. A VR46 badge at the rear completes the design.
This edition retains the impressive performance of the M4 CS. It is powered by a twin-turbo inline-six engine (3.0-liter), producing great torque (405kW and 650Nm).
The power is sent to all four wheels through an eight-speed automatic transmission.
The BMW M4 CS Edition VR46 is a dedication to Valentino Rossi, who dominated MotoGP before transitioning to sports car racing. He recently finished second in the Bathurst 12-Hour GT3 endurance race, driving a BMW M4 alongside Raffaele Marciello and Charles Weerts.
This special model reflects Rossi’s passion for motorsports and his legendary racing number, making it a true representation of his incredible career achievements.
Buyers (such as those with the 2025 BMW M5 model) of this special edition will receive two unique experiences that are not available with any other M4 model. Additionally, they will take part in an exclusive BMW M driving experience at the Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli.
They will have the opportunity to meet Valentino Rossi at his private VR46 Motor Ranch in Tavullia, Italy.
Only 92 units will be produced, split evenly between the Style and Sport variants. The price is set at $346,900 before on-road costs, making it the most expensive M4 in Australia. Australia will receive just four examples, two of each version, arriving between July and September 2025.
This price is significantly higher than the M4 CSL, which was priced at $303,900, and the M4 CS, which cost $254,900.
This special edition is not just another version of the M4 CS (such as the 2025 BMW M4 model). While it shares the same performance specifications as the standard M4 CS, its connection to Valentino Rossi and extremely limited production numbers makes it a standout model.
It offers unique design elements, special interior details, and ownership perks that make it truly exclusive. For collectors and racing fans, this is a rare opportunity to own a part of motorsport history.
The BMW M4 CS Edition VR46 is more than just a high-performance sports car. With its extremely limited production, unique styling, and special ownership perks, this edition stands as one of BMW’s most desirable M models.
